Terms of Service
Effective: March 30, 2025
By accessing or using BuildLog ("BuildLog", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The Service
BuildLog is a web application that converts rough developer notes into polished posts for X (Twitter) using AI. We offer a free tier and a paid Pro tier.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old and have a valid X (Twitter) account to use BuildLog. By using the service, you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. Account & Authentication
You sign in to BuildLog using your X account via OAuth 2.0. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We never receive your X password.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to generate spam, misleading, or abusive content
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload our systems
- Resell or redistribute access to the service without permission
- Violate any applicable law or X's terms of service
5. AI-Generated Content
Content generated by BuildLog is produced by third-party AI models (Groq / Llama). You are solely responsible for reviewing and deciding whether to publish any generated content. We make no guarantees about accuracy, originality, or fitness for any particular purpose.
6. Pro Subscription & Payments
Pro plans are available on a monthly or lifetime basis, processed by Paddle. By purchasing a Pro plan, you agree to Paddle's terms of service. Billing is handled entirely by Paddle; we do not store your payment details.
7. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of any notes you input. AI-generated output is provided to you royalty-free for personal and commercial use. The BuildLog name, logo, and UI are owned by us and may not be copied without permission.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy of AI output, or that the service will meet your expectations.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim, or $10 USD, whichever is greater.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Privacy Policy
Effective: March 30, 2025
This policy explains what information BuildLog collects, how we use it, and your choices.
1. Information We Collect
From X OAuth: When you sign in, we receive your X user ID, display name, username, and profile picture. We do not receive your email, password, or direct messages.
Usage data: Your generation count, post history, and brand voice text are stored locally in your browser (localStorage). We do not sync this to our servers.
Notes you enter: Your dev notes are sent to our API and forwarded to Groq's AI API solely to generate your post. We do not store your notes after the response is returned.
Analytics: We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous page-view data (no cookies, no personal identifiers).
2. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate you and gate access to the service
- To display your profile picture in the header
- To generate content via Groq's AI (your notes are not retained)
- To improve the service through anonymous analytics
3. Third-Party Services
- X (Twitter): OAuth authentication — X Privacy Policy
- Groq: AI inference — Groq Privacy Policy
- Paddle: Payment processing — Paddle Privacy Policy
- Vercel: Hosting and analytics — Vercel Privacy Policy
4. Data Retention
We do not maintain a database of user data. Your session token is stored in a browser cookie managed by NextAuth and expires when you sign out. Local data (history, settings) remains in your browser until you clear it.
5. Your Rights
You can sign out at any time to end your session. To request deletion of any data associated with your X account, email us at z.yaakov6@gmail.com.
6. Children's Privacy
BuildLog is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. We will note the effective date at the top. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
